Renee Robbins -- In Memoriam
It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Renee Robbins, well-loved member of LWV for over 60 years. Among her many accomplishments, Renee was instrumental in developing Running and Winning, a program for young girls to learn about running for elected office. She shared her expertise with other local leagues here in New Jersey and as far away as Arizona. Renee taught history in Camden County for 20 years and English as a second language to immigrants preparing for their citizenship tests. Renee will be remembered for her generous heart and fierce advocacy of the democratic process. Our sincere condolences to her husband, Manuel, their daughters and families, and to all who loved and were inspired by Renee.
